Pumpkin Patch

One more pumpkin patch before Halloween!!!

 Guess what? Chicken butt.
And my foot got pecked while taking this picture. Stupid chicken.

The absolute only way I was getting Jake in the picture was if he was in the car...

or pulling the wagon. Maybe next year!

InstaFriday

 Morning snuggles

Evening snuggles

Someone won cupcakes at the Penn Elementary Fun Night.

Didn't eat as much spaghetti as I thought.

 Masterpiece

Clearly the back of the oven is hotter than the front.

Meet my new niece... Lorelei Rose!
In love with those cheeks. Aunt Cassie can't wait to snuggle with her.

InstaFriday

Pictures from my phone from the last couple weeks...

Sophie's school had an open house a couple weeks ago. This was her self-portrait.

I don't even know what to say about this.

 Jake hanging with his boys!

Practicing our spelling words - sounding out words.

My family is obsessed with these white donuts.
FYI... I did not let him eat all of those.

Walked in the kitchen and found this - weird???

Jake ended up getting hand foot mouth disease last week. He was out of daycare all last week.
He is virus free now though. Blisters are gone. Everyone else in the family is fine too.

Sophie is obsessed with making bracelets with these little rubber bands. It's taking over our life.
Mike even joined in on the madness. Yesterday she had 5 bracelets on one arm, two on the other and a necklace. I made her take the necklace off :-) She's making one for everyone in her class. Ugh!

Train Ride and a Pumpkin Patch

This weekend we headed to Boone, IA to take a train ride with friends. We left feeling "eh" about the trip. Not the best trip, but not the worst - company was good though. We did get to stop at Hickory Park in Ames, IA for lunch. They have the best cheese curds a girl could ask for!!!

We were supposed to take the train to a pumpkin patch which is what sold me on the whole trip. I think "pumpkin patch" was used a little too loosely in the advertising. It was more of a row of pumpkins and some hay. Not what I call a pumpkin patch. So of course we went to an actual pumpkin patch on Sunday. Mike and I decided we should start/build a pumpkin patch and buy a lot of land... BUT not in the country. It has to be in the city and within 15min of a Target.

Homecoming Parade

What's a parade without your BFF Emerson!!!

 Jakes loves his big sister.

 And we spotted the firetruck.

Waving to the homecoming court.

Candy equals happy toddlers!

Exhausting watching a parade isn't it!!!

But nothing beats scoring a can of pop!
