Christmas Eve Eve

We started out the Christmas festivities with a visit from Jaiden and Emerson - next up was the Potter side - Christmas eve with Nanna and Grandpa - Christmas morning with Grandma and Grandpa - and Christmas night with the Langstaff side.

Get ready for some pictures...

Crafts and presents with the Jaiden and Emerson. Crafts actually mainly Cassie and Brandi!!

Visiting the Potter side. Couldn't get Jake in the picture.
 Charlotte got a new backpack.

 Little story time with Grandma.

My favorite from the day. Sophie showing Charlotte her new book.
And notice Charlotte is still wearing her backpack. Point for Cassie.

Jake is ready to go with his loot.

Christmas Day

Jake got a new castle/slide from Santa. Finally he has stopped climbing on the furniture!

Sophie got a new backpack, caboodle, and radio.
She was rocking out last night in her room.

New camera from Aunt Melissa and Uncle Mike.

Jake showing Grandpa how his new cash register worked.

We gave Melissa the new Headbandz game.
Sophie couldn't wait to play - so we played during dinner.

Phil was ready to play too!

 Could they look anymore alike!!!

Jake hugging his big sister - sweet smile from Sophie.

The Langstaff gang introduced Sophie to a dice game.

She could not get enough.

The day after Christmas Mike and Melissa helped Sophie with a gingerbread house.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Fell a little behind on the blog updates - ran out of storage space so I had to get everything figured out. So here is our Thanksgiving weekend in pictures...

Our Thankful Tree

Who is thankful for turtles? Strange

 Photo Bomb

Realizing this wasn't a good idea...

Why do I keep giving him peanut butter?

So happy I captured this moment...

Jake sure does love his big sister.
Always following her around and trying to keep up.

Did you vote?

Sophie and I voted... did you? (Bad picture with my old phone - I'm getting an iPhone in 10 days... AND it will be a newer version than Mike Potter's.)

Sophie learned a ton about voting yesterday at school. They had a little voting booth for the kids so I asked who she voted for... "Mom, you have to be 18 to vote." She also told me that you should vote for Ritt Romeny if you want to lose your job. Ok then.

Sophie also decided to get creative and make Jake a tiger. I am definitely one of those parents that starts laughing and ruins the moment of discipline. Seriously though - how do you not laugh when Jake comes around the corner looking like this.

Trick or Treat

Halloween Success - I got a picture of Jake wearing his cowboy hat and smiling. I really didn't think it was going to happen. Jake loved trick or treating. He would walk up to the door and then turn around and walk right back down the driveway. When we did get him to take some candy he would either give it back or just hold it in his hand. Sophie of course loved it and wasn't afraid to ask for two pieces.

Our new neighborhood is crazy during Halloween. Kids everywhere! One of our neighbors even has a hayrack ride for the kids. The local fire station decorates the station and lets the kids climb all over the fire trucks. It was great fun.

 Halloween Parade at school.

 Yeah - smiles.

 Still happy.

 And then it went downhill.

First stop - the neighbors house.

 Trick or Treat

 Hayrack Ride

Grandpa Dean came along for the ride.

My favorite house.

And Sophie and Emerson dressed up at the poms clinic last weekend.
